Women at the forefront
A panel at the UN, and a bus ride to Pennsylvania. Its 39 days til Election Day.
Hi Friends!!
Did anyone else wake up with a gasp that its once again Friday? Or do you not procrastinate on writing your weekly newsletter and therefore not great Friday mornings with a generalized panic? anyway…
House News
Hello from New York! This week a few of the Culture House BBs were in the big apple to screen our latest film at the United Nations Headquarters during the General Assembly meeting of the heads of state from around the world. Culture House Co-Founder Raeshem Nijhon (RaeRae to the homies) directed the film and we can't wait to tell you more about it! Rae is currently on the adventure of a lifetime in Kenya with her family, check out her stories @Raeshem for absolutely iconic safari footage. We will wait til she gets back to give you the full skinny on the film.
BUT to tide you over, here is a tidbit from the panel following the screening where I spoke alongside our newest heroes and icons: Sara Sabry, Astronaut and CEO of Deep Space Initiative, Laurie Adams, CEO, Women for Women International, Ons Jabeur pro tennis player and world food program ambassador, and Michelle Milford Morse, the Vice President for Girls and Women Strategy at the UN Foundation.
The evening was so spectacular its hard to even put into words, but special thanks to: Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed, Annemarie Hou, Executive Director of UN Office for Partnerships, Sima Sami Bahous, UN Women Executive Director and Noor Al Zubair of the 'We the Women' Campaign.
As I said, next week Rae is going to be back and will write you about the We the Women campaign, the Film, and how Culture House is thinking about film & TVs role in advocating for improving the material conditions of women's lives all over the world.
Finally, MASSIVE congrats to Rae, producer Meghan Scibona and Nicole Galovski for another extraordinary film.
